If You Can't Take the Heat

When our thick, hot air reached record highs last weekend, we clung to the river next-door like a parasite to it's host. Our house lacks the ever-so-hospitable air conditioning, so we were desperate for relief----but relief was found. In the arms of beautiful benefactors Connie, Kristin, and Jessica, and Billy the Blessed Driver, our family was gifted with three wonderful days of water, sun, and boat sandwiches.

My only regret is Annelisa and Nate not being around. For all the talk of "come stay in Oregon for the summer! We'll take you out on the boat!" we never did take them out once. We are losers.

Liam and Grandma Connie, the one who will water ski when she is 100 years old.

Here she is, skiing in the twilight!

My Sweaty Monkeys

This is me! Skiing with Billy as the driver is easier then sitting down to take a pee.

Liam's first tube ride. Don't worry, the tube didn't move. The boat was docked.

so...i know this is so obvious now, but i didnt even put together that kristin and you are sisters in law! what?! kristin is my good buddy and i need to call her. we used to teach the sunbeams together when i was in the brush hills ward. afterwards she used to call me to see how i was feeling (since i was pregnant) and we'd make fun of the kids together. she always said we should go get ice cream together and we never did...how sad. this might be a good kick in the butt to get that ice cream. i'll just have to make sure to tell her she's buying! muahahaha!
