Sleepy Toddler

Liam has graduated from a crib to a toddler bed. No yippees or yeehaws from me, I actually liked the idea of being able to trap him behind bars for years to come. But his recent aversion to the crib left us with few options. The key to his peaceful nap is as follows:

1. Snuggle time with Mom
2. Approximately 2-3 Jesus or "Esus" songs
3. Bob the Builder pillow strategically positioned and Bob the Builder blanket covering all 10 toes.
4. One bottle of milk with anti-teeth rotting material (and that is what I'll continue to believe until I figure out how to release it from his suction grip).
5. One sweet lie: "Liam, Mommy is going to go check on something in a little bit, but I'll be back soon..." as I slowly back out of the room.

great blog! this (toddler bed post) is SO funny and true to life :) we're still doing the crib thing for our little boy, but I can only imagine the tactics we'll have to use to keep him in bed when he's not trapped in behind bars. (by the way, i followed the link to your site from kate butler's blog :) if you want to know about this stranger posting on your blog, you can come to mine at www.emilyanne.net :)
