People, she is a strong woman with strong opinions, but gosh dang it, she is right on the money with many political and moral admonitions. When I first started listening to her I hated her guts, voice, and irritating laugh. But then, as the wisdom and advice washed over me like the cleansing mist of Miss Niagara herself, I became a believer. In a world where too many pussy-foot around morals (to the detriment of innocent children and families), Dr. Laura stands boldly like Samuel the Lamanite (a Book of Mormon reference for you) and declares penetrating truths. I like that. I like her courage, and I even like her forcefulness. The more I listen to her, the more I can see she is just forceful because that is the ONLY way some people will get the concept.
So, here I am with a few pictures of her and her autograph in her newest book The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage. For any of you who are married, or in a committed relationship, I highly recommend this book. It really is all about how to serve and devote yourself to your spouse, and what could be wrong with that?

how cool! i think this makes you almost famous!
i like dr. laura too, but haven't read any of her books...maybe i should check one out?!
I have read The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands believe it or not... I got three copies of it for wedding gifts so I figured I should give it a go. Now Becca, you know I love you to pieces so you won't be offended if I disagree. While I admit there are rare occasions when I agree with something Dr. Laura says, in general it is hard for me not to picture her as the Devil reincarnated into an antifeminist lunatic. But hey, I like Hilary Rodham Clinton and many people believe she is the Devil, so I'm not one to knock a strong influential woman. Just as long as I am the number one Dr. Lara in your life ☺.
I have the proper care and feeding of husbands and loved it...so I'll have to check out the marriage one. I also have the 10 stupid things couples do to mess up their relationship but I don't think I've ever read that one....is it any good?
