Isla on Tap

Isla is two years and two months old and talks very well for her age. She has been saying funny things all summer long, and I haven't done a good job of writing her -isms down. Here are some things she's said just this week. I wish I could accurately portray how cute and clever these things sound when they come out of her mouth, but she is beyond words.

"Mom is a great mom" whispered as I tucked her into bed.

"Liam, Mom put my poop in the toilet and it made me sad!!!" Isla sobbed hysterically to her brother, looking for sympathy, after I took appropriate measures to clean up an accident.

"I love you mom" and then a kiss on my cheek. "I love you dad" and then a kiss on his cheek. "I love you Liam." and then a kiss cheek. Then, she paused. "I love you Isla." She looked down at her belly, tucked her chin to her chest, and attempted to kiss herself.

"Ant man is on me! Ant man is on me!" Yelled, repeatedly until I killed an ant crawling on her wrist

"Why, the neighbors will be scared?"  asked when I told her she needed to go to bed, and not cry in her room at night.

Isla is so sweet. I love the one where she tried to give herself a kiss.
