Liam participated in a week-long soccer camp at our local park in June. He was in a class of 3 1/2 to 4 year olds, and with the exception of two giant boys who were at least 5, all the kids just ran around kicking the ball (and sometimes the orange cones) and looking back at their moms. It was really cute. Grandma and Grandpa Snyder came up to watch the last day, which encouraged Liam so much that he kicked the ball all the way down the field and (almost) into the goal. He got right up to it and then, with the ball still a foot away from the net, he stopped. It was as if he thought "Well, that's good enough for now. I think I go back to where Grandma and Grandpa are." He was so proud of himself, though. He turned around and faced the busy crowd. His eyes searched, until he found mine and then, with all his explosive 4-year-old energy jammed into one little arm, he punched the air with his fist.
(This is Liam, kicking the ball to the goal!)
