I love my girlfriends. I love the ones I've met recently, here in Portland, who are so good to me and my kids. I love the ones who I met as a lonely, single freshman in Utah, and the ones I met a few years later with Billy by my side. I love the girls I met as a teenager, who made high school such a fun experience for me.
And, I love the ones who knew me when I was under five feet, with unbrushed teeth, and nothing but Silliness with a capital S running through my veins. These girls and I are all at different places in our lives now, doing different things and worried about different issues. We are pretty busy and don't get to talk or see each other half as much as we promised to when we were saying goodbye for the first time after high school graduation. But, every now and then we get together for a weekend away, and my goodness, we all seem to enter a time machine and revert to our 11-year-old selves. Here are a few pictures from a trip to the beach last weekend. It won't make sense, because it's not suppose to. Really, there is no logic. Just four girls in women's bodies, too much sugar and caffeine, a perfect sunset, and a camera.
I love you guys.

Oh this just made my day! I showed this to Chris last night and he said he loves that I can have such good friends to be "silly and carefree" with- what a blessing and so needed once a year!!

Ahhhh, it warms my heart to see these pics! I have to say, you all look exactly the same as you did in high school! You should all come to Nicaragua next year for your trip :). We could go to the beach and you wouldn't have to wear coats (or anything at all now that I think about it).
