Liam's House

Liam is leaning up against what he calls "Mommy and Daddy's bed"

Liam told me the pillow under the green chair is his bed. The church hymnal is there because he was singing bedtime songs while trying to put Billy to bed.

Liam told me this shoe was his baby and the silver soap holder underneath was the baby's bed.

Liam likes to build tents and houses. They are essentially the same thing, but he sometimes calls them tents, and other times houses. He usually constructs them on his own while I am running around the house doing my thing, but if it is a lazy Saturday morning Billy helps out. I like to peek in from time-to-time and have him give me tours. It is hard for me to watch the house get torn apart in an effort to build a palatial plaything. And there are scratches on the hardwood floor where Liam has pulled and dragged chairs and benches. But really, how can I deny him such wholesome imaginative play? I can't. Even though it would mean a cleaner, more organized house.

How fun. I love when kids build forts, or in Liam's case, "houses." :)
