Snyder Family Reunion

Back to the roots we traveled this last weekend. With the (two!) kids packed in the car alongside the necessary road trip gear Billy and I drove to Idaho to visit his side of the family. It was fun. We managed to squeeze in a lot of swimming, some bowling, a walk on the nearby college campus, and conversation with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Billy's family is very laid back and friendly so things were very relaxed and enjoyable. Here are a few pictures, but not too many. I tried to lay off the camera and enjoy the moment.

Liam spent much of his time drawing for his "grape" aka great-grandma.

One of the few moments Liam gave up the ghost and slept during the road trip. I was tempted to spike the kid's juice with Benedryl, but opted or a steady diet of French fries and ice cream to do the trick instead.

This is a picture of the forest fire we drove by on I-84. Notice the scorched brush and the power pole snapped in half like a twig. You can't see it in the picture, but the pole was actually still ablaze in flames.

Liam and his love affair with firetrucks consummated at the local bowling alley.

Looks like a wholesome time. Your hair is so blond right now. I love it. Welcome home. How is Harry Potter going?
